Dumb question....

OK, here's a newbie/dumb question....

I have ARP bolts on both the intake manifold and the headers. These bolts have an unusual bolt head - something like a 12 point bolt head, between 3/8 and 7/16 - neither fits well. Metric socket doesn't fit either. Is there a special ARP socket head for these??

Thanks.

You have to use a 12-point wrench or socket

or..

If they don't understand 12 point your local tool shop may know them as `triple square`(as in 3 squares layed over each other), you can also get `double square` (8 points) and good old Torx (6 point).
This is what they are listed under in the Snap-On catalogue (uk one anyway).
It's as if having a cab' full of a million different length and size Hex (Allen) tooling weren't enough, there's always some smart arse that has to go reinventing the wheel!
