Has anyone tried out the Remflex header gaskets? They claim that the high crush characteristic of their product allows the gasket to seal inconsistencies in the mating surfaces, while eliminating the need to retorque the bolts after heat cycling.
Here's a tip; Dont use a gasket, a 5mm bead of clear silicone sealant applied to the header flange does the trick . Give it a few minutes to form a skin before assembly. You don't need to bother with the expense of high temp stuff either. No leaks or failures in 15 years of doing it this way on race engines.
