EFI on a 302

Further to my earlier question, has anyone actually used a setup like the one pictured below on a 302 in a gt40 replica?

Re: EFI on a 302

Lynn Larsen has, I thought he posted on your thread about it?

Standard 86-93 Mustang 5L intake pictured. It'll be tall to fit under your deck, so, you'll want to use the one from a 1994-1995 Mustang 5L that is squashed considerably to fit under that car hood. It does not flow quite as well as the 86-93 intake, but the difference is little.

Stock 19 lb injectors, 55 (IIRC) mm tbody with built in idle air control, and long runners. Runner is a folded design about 22 inches and ends up making peak torque low in the RPM range, around 2800 RPM.

I've modded many a 5L. If you want a torque monster V8 this would be a good choice, but it'll be signing off about 5200 RPM with that intake. You can get other designs, many other designs, that will move the torque and hp peaks around.

Re: EFI on a 302

Thanks ron, didn't realise Lynn had the setup in his car.
I may give it a whirl.

Simon,

Build Thread -Sabre #???
Check out my pictures.

If you use a 94-95 upper it will fit under the deck much easier. See this thread: RCR forum ->Engine?

Lynn
