IDF for GTD

Hi all,

I've found in the past posts that Weber IDA/IDF would not fit to standard GTD/Ford 302 combination due to it's height. Now, I'd like to know far I do need to lowering the monting of the motor to to fit Weber??? Thanks in advance for any advice on this?

Thanks and Regards

Yuji son, from the land of Rising Sun,

I have IDFs (NOT IDAs) on my GTD with standard engine mounts (not lowered) and they fit just fine. Send a PM if you like and I send pictures.

Re: IDF for GTD

Older GTD's had a flat plastic rear window that had clearance problems with Webers. If you have one of the later thin glass or a formed plastic ( such as from Fran Kress) you should have enough clearance.

Wink Re: IDF for GTD

My GTD has glass rear window, so should be OK? Anyway, let me check the clearance once I'll have a set of IDF within next couple of weeks after I'll return to Tokyo from Asia trip.

Thanks and Regards
