Help starter motor won't turn

I have a Superformance GT 40 with a Roush 8 stack.
The car have been sitting for 6 months with a float charger on the battery.
The battery is fully charged and all electonics, fuel pumps, etc run, but when I turn the key to start,NOTHING, not even a click???

A battery can show a charge (12 plus volts) but have a dead cell.

check your electrical connections at the battery and starter. Take the wire/lugs loose and clean them. Sometimes just a 1/4 turn of the wrench will fix it.

You can pull the starter and test it. If it will turn over on the bench (floor under the car) then it may be good. Sometimes the start will spin without a load but can not turn a motor over.
My local starter guy clamps them in a vise, hooks a battery to them and while it's spin, pushes a wooden handle brush into the starter gear. If he can not slow it down, he calls it good. That's his load test.
Could be the ignition switch or the starter wire hooked to it.

I think it's something simple.

This....

Check voltage at starter when you pull it. It's probably a bad/corroded connection or a relay/battery that died.

Dwight:
Have someone turn the key while you give the starter and/or solenoid a little tap with something other than a hammer (piece of wood etc.).
Sometimes this works

Your correct Phil
it could be the contacts inside the start.
