Simeone GT40

My buddy built the engine in the GT40 that is in the Simeone museum. We are discussing building a copy of that car. What is the general opinion of whether one should go EFI or Carbed? Transmission would be a built G50.

Motor will cost me almost as much as the RCR kit.

If I was going in that deep, I would probably select an RBT/ZF transaxle... Nothing wrong with the G50 if it has the right work done to it, but you still won't end up with something as strong as the ZF box.

Come on, its a MKII, gotta have a T44 and an FE preferably with holley, not that hard to keep in tune unless your a lap top junkie! RCR kits must be coming down in price.!

Maybe it's a MkIV??? ;-)

Then it would not be a GT40..:)
I see a 427 side oiler on Club Cobra for US$8500.00 with dual carbs, even if you have to go thru it & rebuild, should give you change to help with a T44 if its the ~35k+ RCR kit.
