I have stuffed my Coyote engine in my RCR40 and I cannot find the engine number. Does anyone have a coyote out of the car and could you tell me (possibly with a photo) where the engine number is located?

There is a number on the side of the crank case under the engine near the pan. it is XXX/XX/XXX in format. Any one have any ideas whether the "date" one is correct on top?

The pic I posted is a new bare block, presumably it had not been stamped with a vin type number, here is another XR8 block with what appears to be a FPV # from a cobra builders site, you might also check out post #'s 215 & 229 of your build thread as your pic has another partially obscured number in the centre of the valley also.
