Oil sender pipe????

Hi all again ..... Now on a 302 engine I have seen a pipe fitted that the oil light switch and oil pressure sender are screwed in to.. Does any body know what its called and were would I get one ?? I do know they come in different lengths . And some have an angled end to it .

Thanks all John..

This is probably what your looking for, can be steel or alloy- steel is best if your going to fit both light and pressure sensor, even better to run high quality fitting from block to chassis bracket with sensors.Should be able to find one at anyone who wrecks SBF stuff even in UK. Google Fortes parts connection in USA... most of this type only have the one fitting, you would have to drill/tap another port for switch which could be a problem with proximity to filter.

'oil pressure sensor block extension , is correct term.

Hi John,
I use a piece of -3 Aeroquip hose to a manifold block mounted on the bulkhead. This remote mounting stops the vibration failing the switches<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

.... and they will break off ( if its the aluminium extension !)
Go the route of the remote mounted item as suggested by Saxoncross Andy
