Just back from IVA and the coil has packed in. I have the Mallory distributor. The MSD seems to take time to deliver. Can someone recommend where to purchase or a replacement type?

Both are pretty fast on delivery.
If you get stuck I have a spare cylindrical type MSD coil. There are several types of MSD ignition coils.
Check if your system uses a ballast resistor. If you have a ballast resistor setup you need a 6volt coil - if no ballast resistor then a normal 12 volt coil.
