Recommendation valve cover gasket

Hello all,

Does anybody have a good recommendation for valve cover gaskets?

Setup: 302 with AFR heads and repro cast aluminum Gurney Weslake valve covers

With regular cork gaskets I'm not lucky.

Yep - Felpro Blue... They are silicone / neoprene as I recall and seal quite well..

Re: Recommendation valve cover gasket

Hello gents - thanks once more.

I had a nice person bring me a set ofgaskets from US in his carry on baggage > saved me 50% over buying it in Germany - third world country in terms of American muscle :-(

However, I have one more question: can anybody tell what thread size the bolts have for the valve covers?

I want to purchase some new bolts / studbolts / threaded Rod (not sure yet-depends what I get here in Germany) and I'm not familiar with proper thread types > yes I could remove one bolt take the thread pitch gauge and the caliper and figure it out - but I'm lazy and somebody here knows for sure out of his head.....

Thanks in advance,

Markus

Re: Recommendation valve cover gasket

Hello jac mac, hello Randy,

Thanks for your fast reply.

Now I'm up to the next challenge - availabilty of UNC bolts in Germany with desired dimension, proper grade and good plating - after I found the right one it was 2 /piece....

I think I start a new thread for this one.
