I need the right hand side windows. Would prefer they NOT be made of thin plexiglas as one I had cracked when drilling mounting hole. Can anyone direct me to a valid source?
Thanks
Ben
BTW I should have the gt painted by Sept 8th and will post pix when it's done.
Seem that I remember someone saying Fran Kress had some very high quality windows. Check out the ERA or Mk IIB adds in the For Sale forum for his contact info.
Lynn, Thanks but FRan's windows are what I have and one of them cracked. Would prefer something besides thin plexiglas expecially at $425 for the pair.
Drilling any type of plastic can be tricky. You need to get rid of the "bite" in the drill so that the corners don't catch when you start to break thru.
Ben, a while back I asked about special tools and techniques for working with lexan, acrylic, perspex, call it what you will and got some great information from the craftsman on the forum. Check out this thread: Special Tools for Lexan
