Lucas side turn indicators

Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me what diameter (and possible part number) the Lucas side turn indicator lamp is as fitted to the front of chassis 1076 and other Gulf cars of 1968/69? If anybody knows a source that would be great.
cheers
Dave

Dave,

Please see my thread in Original GT40 Forum. I think I have the answer to your question, but I am trying to verify it.

Re: Lucas side turn indicators

They are Lucas model L488 with amber lense. These were typically used on english cars for front parking and indicator lamps. There are two types namely short body and long body. the difference is in the type of globe ie 5w short body or 18-21w long body. They came in from behind the mudguard and were fastened to a bracket on the inside of the mudguard. The lamp only projected slightly through the hole in the body. Somewhere I have a photo.
