dimension of bulkhead window opening

I am about to cut the opening for the bulkhead window in my RF. I have traced the window for a pattern and am unsure what extra amount to add for the seal and maybe an extra bit for help in installation. Also wondering if there is a easy way to figure the correct height of the opening , maybe off tube just below ?
I believe the thickness of the seal to be about 0.315 inches or 7.8 milimeters between the slot for the glass and the stainless. Any help appreciated, and thanks.

Dan,

We use 8mm. as our gap round the glass to allow for the rubbers. The only worries about the fitting of the mid-screen is that the rubber should be above and JUST touching the bushes for the seat belt harnesses. The window is also fitted centrally.
