ZF Gear Shift Gate Plate

Can anyone give me a source for a chromed gate plate for the ZF or provide detailed dimensions for machining a fresh one?

Re: ZF Gear Shift Gate Plate

James,
You want to find someone who has one on their car. Try Brian Maggee.

Try any of the Pantera shops, as this is a commonly replaced part.

Taking a quick look at pictures of Pantera gates, the pattern looks right. But they appear to lack the little flip-up tag to prevent you from accidentally going into reverse.

Try this site. It's RBT Transmissions. Their ZF distributors in So. California.

Re: ZF Gear Shift Gate Plate

Guys,
The ZF2 came from Lloyd Butfoy at RBT who do not supply furniture.
The Pantera gate is a completely different fitting from the GT40.

Re: ZF Gear Shift Gate Plate

Hi James

I can make you a gate similar to mine but it depends on the design of the rest of the linkage on your car as to the throw of the lever and therefore the size of the gate.

If you have not bought the linkage yet then I can make that for you as well.

Send me a message if you are interested.

Brian.
