Simon, lots of things go off in this heat (eg, me) !! Pulling the gearbox in 37decC on the w/e was not fun - bring back our freezing winter temps of 13-20 degC !

I take it that you have had a bit of a cold snap recently !

Here's someone's solution to the question of what to do with a license plate.

It's an electric motor with a control box to raise the number plate. It's intended for the tuner market to hide the plate when the car is parked at a show.
