Ford Oval Emblem

Does anyone have a source for a 2" or smaller Ford Oval emblem? They must be available from Ford but the ones I see are all 4" or larger.
Thanks

83-93 Mustang GTs and LXs had emblems on the grill and deck lid. Not sure if they are the small one though. Check some of the 5.0 resto shops.

Thanks Neal. I had found the Ford letters for the bonnet as per the original street trimmed cars and replaced the oval that I had glued on. Now I wanted to put a pair of small ovals on the fender sides by the latches.

funny how it looks slightly off center because of the angle of the shot, it looks OK head on, though.
BTW, nice build site. Have you fired up the Webers yet?

There are thousands of classic Ford shops out there with what you need. Put Classic Ford in Google, and you will get many hits. I was looking for the "original" FORD letters or their replacements for a friend who owns an original 66 Road Car. I stumbled on this shop on the way to his house and went in to look at what he had. He has on display(and can get), just about every known Ford oval, and FORD letter size there is out there, as well as what it came off of. What is not known at this point is the exact shade of blue you want. I found that out when I got one for my car. It will be added sometime this summer when a few more clear coats get added. If you contact these guys they can help you out, or just search the net for someone close to you.

I like the look of the letters. Nice detail.

Car is up and running. Approaching 600 miles now. Working a few ergonomic issues but having a blast doing it.

I'm trying to get close to the detail of this real one (1056, I think)

Check out the letters and if you look closely, the quarterpanels have that little Ford oval just under the latches.

Actually, here's an even better view. This doesn't look like your garden-variety Ford emblem. Too much crome at the edges. Based on a 15" wheel, that is about 3" wide give or take a quarter...

Try contacting Europaspares. They have a badge like that listed in the catalogue, but its not up on the website. Badge number is 202.

Mark. that's exactly the one I'm looking for. That may be the same car?
The one I saw was parked at Captree Boat Basin in Long Island, NY one Spring Sunday. That was me peering in figuring out how to break in...: )

Brett, I'll try them as I've purchased some Cobra parts from them in the past but never saw this particular oval. maybe they can send a pic.
Thanks

Here is a close up picture of the emblem from GT40/1045. I would also be interested in buying a couple of these if they are available.

I would have thought so, as there were only a very few (three?) road cars made and that colour is distinctive. This car is (was?) owned by Ron Hein of Los Angeles. It's a long way from home.

Red face

Mark, I immediately looked at Ronnie Spain's book that day as I totally missed the owner. I saw the car, parked next to it, ogled it, then went for coffee. When I got back, it was gone.

Bob, I e-mailed Mary at Europaspares and attached the jpg you posted and mentioned badge#202. I told her if they had them, to send me 4. (a pair for you)

Hi Ray,

Thanks, two emblems would be perfect.

As an aside, I will be in the Hamptons August 4th & 5th. Would you be interested in going to see the blue car if I can arrange it?

That would be great, although more importantly, we can finally get together.

They are 15 minutes down the road from me if you need it, so you don't have to pay 'their' postage.

Awfully nice of you. Yes, but their site shows badge0202 as currently out of stock. I have sent an E-Mail asking when they would have them available. As soon as I get a reply, I'll PM.

Thanks!
