Type of Plexiglass

Already have my side windows and light covers and am now going to fabricate my exterior rear window.

Fran told me the name of a really good type of plexiglass that polishes out scratches really well, but I didn't write it down and of course forgot.

Two questions...

What is the name of this easy polish plexi

and what is the typical thickness used for the rear outer glass?

Re: Type of Plexiglass

Kalun,

The rear window is just as received from RCR when it arrived a few weeks ago. Will look at it tonite and be in touch.

Best,

T.

Re: Type of Plexiglass

Kalun,

The plexiglass Fran supplied with the RCR is a Bayer/Sheffield Plastic product; the protective covering on the 3/16 inch plexi is tagged as being 'makrolon'

Hope this helps.

Best,

T.

Kalun,

See: Rear window suggestions

Third entry (02-26-04, 03:25 AM) from Paul Berman has good info.
