Heat and Noise Insulation

I am now getting close to panelling my SouthernGT chassis and would like to pick peoples brains as to controlling heat and noise on and behind the panel work. Cool It does a number of products but I am at a loss as to which are the best and do they work. I am looking to cut down heat and noise transfer from the engine bay and noise transfer from around the wheels as on my current car tyre noise makes up most of the noise in the cockpit.

Regards Martin

Red face Re: Heat and Noise Insulation

There was a German chap at the Exeter show two years ago. He was selling all sorts of high quality sound/heat insulation (some of it OE stuff) I've been trying to contact him recently but no joy. I'll pass his details on if you'd like to have a go?

Re: Heat and Noise Insulation

I have just finished doing my CAV for mostly sound insulation but heat as well. I used dynamat on all the Mono in the interior to cut down on reverberation and added 1/2 inch neoprene sheeting on top of that, followed by the carpet. I did the same to the inside of the doors. The difference is significant and I am now doing the same to the Daytona. It is a lot of work but well worth the effort. I got all my products off of EBAY (look under sound deadener)
