Re: krown oil spray

Might be a topic for the Exterior/Interior tech section.

Re: krown oil spray

Is this a replacement for undercoating or a protectant for parts that are to be stored or both?

I've used a great undercoating product that works exceptionally well even in my northern climate where they use scads of salt on the roads but it's hard to find here in the states. It's called Finnegan's WaxOyl ... It creeps everywhere and does not need to be applied to perfectly clean surfaces..

Re: krown oil spray

both thats the way they are advertising it. They show them spraying it all over the car even painted surfaces under the hood and trunk. Then the guy just wipes off the excess. sound too good to be true. Apparrently there are companies in Canada that sell a service like the old Ziebart process.

Re: krown oil spray

Sounds just like WaxOyl... I wonder if it's being marketed under another name? WaxOyl goes on as a liquid and then congeals (for lack of a better term) into something that resembles bees wax.. I applied it to the bottom of my 92 Chevrolet 4x4 pickup and when I traded the truck in in 2001 it was still 100% rust free..

Re: krown oil spray

so far this stuff is works great. Seems to remove all the corrosion from the cadium plated parts. Make a lot of parts appear to look new and shinny. Any one have any long term experience with krown. Spray on wipe off leaves a nice finish appears to not be too smelly like wd40. If this stuff is as good as the first impression i might be buying by the case.

Up here in Canada we use it by the boat-load to rust-proof our cars (at Krown Rustproofing Shops). The local hardware stores all sell spray cans of it as well. Great stuff to keep the snow-blowers in good nick and the stuff smells OK too!

Re: krown oil spray

Just talked with KROWN (the mfg in Canada)...The T40 product that the Canadian rustproofers use and is ref in the website ads is in fact KROWN KL73 ...As noted above by LLoyd it is available down here from International Truck dealers parts depts. Factory told me that the International part # 71400 ( in a spray can)...This what the KROWN factory recommends and is what the Canadian rustproofers use...Factory advised to use sparingly, let seep into all voids for 24 hrs then wipe up...Lasts for 12 months.
