Windshield Wiper kits

I need to purchase a windshiled wiper setup for our GTD and while searching the web I found three universal kits and they are from;
- "It's a snap"
- "Specialty Power windows"
- Autoloc

If anyone has used any of these products and would care to comment on the ease of installation or how the products work, I would appreciate it.

Many thanks

Brian

Re: Windshield Wiper kits

I ordered a unit from Specialty Power Windows and quickly proceeded to return it. Cheap.

I bought a Lucas 2 speed unit from Fran Hall at RCR. Original.

A good source for Lucas based switches and wiper kits is Stafford Vehicle Components. They'll make up kits to your requirements.

Re: Windshield Wiper kits

I'd second that SVC did nime and it works a treat.

Need to tell them it's a GT40 or you will get a set with not enough sweep (i's something like 140 degrees that is needed)

Re: Windshield Wiper kits

My RCR has the "Its A Snap" brand. It is a simple design that went together well. I have a detailed description and pictures on my build blog. (Chuck and Ryan's RCR . . .)

Re: Windshield Wiper kits

Brian, I may have a GTD/CAV unit. It is new and would want whatever I paid for it. Let me know and I will look for it. Thanks

Re: Windshield Wiper kits

Gregg, please send me a pm with a description of what you have, i.e, is it a complete assembly with a wheelbox, drive cable, etc or just a motor and we'll go from there.

Many Thanks.

Brian
