Engine bay colour

Hi,

Should I powder coat my engine bay panels satin or gloss black.

IMHO, satin black always looks good & is easier to keep clean looking.

I've got mine Satin Black and I'm really happy with it.

Nick,
I'd also go with Satin black, which is what I plan to use. However someone on this forum pointed out that you may be better off painting the panels (etch prime & a 2-pack paint) as it is more flexible than powder coating, which can crack/chip when the panels are rivited into place

Hi,

Thanks for the replies it seems the unanimous decision is for satin / matt so I have changed my mind away from gloss.

Andy, I have purchased a do it yourself powder coating kit so am hoping any small defects due to cracking etc can be rectified, well that's the theory.
