Omitting Rear Window Over Engine

This may have been discussed and I missed it, but has anyone tried running without the rear window? Does it completely upset the aerodynamics (as in drag)? Or does it let the engine electrics get too wet in rain, etc. Seems it would improve both heat dissipation and rear vision if omitted. But apart from aerodynamics, perhaps the variable pressure at the engine induction would upset performance also. I was thinking also of the option of something like the Muira rear.

Re: Omitting Rear Window Over Engine

I ran without mine for a while - really early days when I have the engine running really hot (EFI issues) in order to release more heat which it did

I did not notice any problem with the handling

I have also run without the side window in at up to abou 110mph - actually amazing with how little wind buffeting happens (VERY NOISY)
