I'm considering fitting a ventilation grille at the rear of the spider.
It appears most have two rows of five vents.
Does anyone know the exact dimensions and where these are obtainable, preferably in the uk.
Ally seems the usual material but a stronger material may be better.
Cheers
NO, NO, NO Wrong plate. Why you not listen cooky boy
I have the rear deck 9 hole grille from Mick
I mean the little, little one on the spider just above me sweed.
about 150mm x 150mm " ish "
My item came from a forum member in the US who responded when I asked the same question.
I am not aware of any commercial source but a good metalworker may well have a louvre cutter and be able to make one. I was going to try my hand at ally forming when the item came up.
Hi Keith,
I'll eventually be fitting one of these to mine. My research shows that both 4x2 and 5x2 rows have been used. The following is commercially available in aluminium and measures 9x3" Manrose 229 x 76mm Louvred Vent Silver Aluminium, 5020953930402
Also someone posted on here how to build a rain water drain from this vent, but I now can't find the location
Regards
Andy
Here are some pics of the interior vent and the drain for rainwater I formed between the inner and outer skins of the spider. The drain pipe passes between and the pipe ends below the car. It works OK as yet no water has entered the car from the vent.
