check it out - streetfighter GT40

A friend and I were toying with some ideas for my car.
We tossed around the rugged warts and all body as is no filler.
Sand it up and scotch bright in the roundels, stripes and even decals.

Old street fighter look from 1966.

Re: check it out

That's a great look and I think its befitting of the car....and showing off your craftsmanship in the best way ....

I love reading your posts Jim...awesome stuff mate.

Jim,
You do realize people are going to ask you if you build airplanes in Poland, or moonlight in Provo Utah............ ;o) You have some great skills, Scott

not sure were you mean Cris.
It has marks here and there, when I become the master and not the grass hopper I will have no marks or ripples in my panel work." Confucius "

I think the look im thinking of will require a few marks and imperfections.

Jim, Like the others I stand in awe of your abilities. I like the "naked" look and anyone knowing anthing about the GT 40 will know they never made a full alloy bodied car and will know immediately yours is a one of a kind and very special machine. I say separate yourself from the masses and keep it naked at least for a while...you can always paint it later.

Jim,
I will drop by with a case of beer and some rattle cans so we can make it "period correct".

Great work mate.Definitely different.

Thanks gents I think it is raw, at least for a while.

Chris bring 2 cases of beer if were going to paint you need to be relaxed.
