MKII rear spoiler

Can anyone please supply drawings/dimensions/thickness etc. for the adjustable rear spoiler for a MKII?

Thanks,

Brian.

Don't know if SPF rear spoiler is exactly identical to an original MkII, but dimensions are:
65.5" wide, 4" tall, .135" thick.

Thanks Dave. Original one here looks taller, but that may be just a trick of the light.

Looking at MkII photos I have they probably varied a little in height. My SPF one is actually not adjustable because it's doesn't have slotted bolt holes. Mine looks an inch shorter than your photo, but the photo below looks close to mine. Notice the difference in rear grills too.

Thanks for that image Dave. Unless I'm very much mistaken that may be a MKIIa (going by the lower front guards), which is the look I'm going for.

#21 -- GT40 P/1012. Is an 1966 MKII used as a spared car at the 1966 LeMans Came second at Spa while racing for Alan Mann.written off when testing. If you mean a 1966 MKII is a MKIIA then yes. The pictures from this year Whitsun Trophy race at Goodwood and a replica of GT40 P/1012 MKII also raced.

I'm confused now Allan. Was P1012 in the picture built from the salvaged tub by Brian Wingfield or the car built with a spare JWA tub in 1971? Was there more than one P1012 at the Revival?

Join the confused club?! Since the original wreck was sold to Don Davis in 1969 his car is the original GT40P/1012 since it has the continuance provenance/history it got the replacement JWA chassis in 1971. The replica might however, have more original parts!
Both cars raced in the Whitsun Trophy The photo in this thread of the White no 21 car is the original. I think the Bryan Wingfields repilica was originally built Yellow with Black stripes. I have photos of in this form. Now its No 28 Silver with two Black stripes. It was not mentioned in Goodwoods program. More details below.

So which one is original? #21 -- GT40 P/1012 -- Bernard de Dryver | Jean-Perrie Lecou The first person Don Davis to buy the wreckage in 1969 ordered a JWA replacement chassis on 2nd August 1971 on which this car was built; thus having a continous history? P/1012 being written off in a testing crash driven by Peter Revson at Daytona on 21st March 1967. Or the replica #28 -- GT40 P/1012 replica -- ?? Lopez | Florent Moulin built up on the original tub being reroofed, refloored and having the rear bulkheads and fuel sponsons rebuilt ?? All information from Ronnie Spains GT40 Book.

Measurements taken off of 1046 give a spoiler height of 5" at the centre (between the silver stripes). Fixing slots are equidistant with outside ones on the centreline of the rear lights.

The card in the attached image I used to measure is 95mm in length if you want to try and scale. Also a few close up pictures I took if they are of interest.

Regards

Dave
