Fire system Location

Guys:

Need some thoughts on this. I have an AFFF fire system I am thinking about mounting on the passenger side floor in the very front of my 40. Rear package is so tight I really am thinking this is the best place.

Dave,
I basically did the same thing. but in the nose. Was concerned about heat in the engine bay ( my system is halon). Directed nozzles in the cockpit and engine bay.

Thinking of fires suppression seems like most of the kits come with 3 nozzles.
what is the placement two in cockpit and one engine bay or the opposite.
most likely an engine bay fire but i care about my own but over the engine.

Mine has two multi-port nozzles at the firewall below the window ledge and one in the cockpit pointed at the drivers mid section, bottle is in same location as photo above...............................also flame proof under ware, couldn't find any for the engine, so it got two nozzles.

1 multi-port nozzle in cabin pointing at driver mid-section
1 multi-port nozzle in engine compartment pointing at fuel system
1 multi-port nozzle in engine compartment pointing at carburation
