Wiper sweep angle question?

110*
The original wiper set up came from a Boeing 707 . which had a wipe angle of 60* and a wipe speed of 240 per min. in a 24 volt system .
On the GT40 the angle was set at 110* and wiped 105 - 110 per min. on the 12 volt system .
There you go , short and long answers .

Geoff,
120* is the usual sweep and the wiper motor originally fitted by FAV was a type 6 Lucas two speed unit and drive gears for these can be obtained rather easily.

Frank,
Only later GT40 MKII's and MKIV's were fitted with the aircraft unit which can in fact be obtained with a 120* converter box.

You can redrill the driven worm wheel to alter the stroke of the driven cable and hence the sweep angle. The wheel boxes that the wiper arm fits onto is also available with different dia gears , also affecting the sweep angle. I seem to recall that I used landrover ser 2 motor , cable and wheelboxes and it was spot on.
