Fuel consumption check

Checked fuel consumption on the way to, during and back from Goodwood on the Sussex GT.
At first I didn't believe 31mpg on the way down all motorway very gentle driving, but then on sunday on the scenic run country roads spirited driving 17mpg, Monday on the track 12mpg, then on the way back 30mpg.

That's a brilliant run David, what 800+ miles round trip?

Even the Mericans baulk at that kind of journey...

PS Did you do a dyno run with your updated intake, heads cam and carb as a comparison?

Mind you, it would not have been hard to beat 175hp now would it...

Keith, I will check the recorded mileage against actual, but the Speedo does agree with the satnav and so should be accurate enough. I haven't dyno'd yet, I wondered whether to use a satnav type road dyno instead, but yes the new cam has breathed life into it and it really seems to shift now and makes a glorious noise. All I need to do now is learn to drive it :laugh:
