Gas tank vent line runs over valley cover?

On an LS engine, is there any reason you would not zip tie the vent line (startlite hose, not stainless braided) to the MAP/DBW sensor and run it over the valley cover and down behind the engine to a charcoal canister before going out the back?

Normally I keep all fuel lines completely separated from other lines, wiring, etc... but in this case my fuel tank is 1'' away from the engine and there's no clean way to run the vent short of going over the valley cover. I think it's okay to do and I'm just being a worry-wart since the line shouldn't ever have fuel in it, but just wanted to put my thought out there to see if somebody thinks that's a stupid idea for one reason or another that I may not have thought of.
