Fan size question

I have a couple of spare 10" SPAL fans but only rated at 749 cfm each.
I recall reading somewhere that the SBF 302 required more air than that.
Does anybody know what the optimal fan preformace is ?
Is 749 cfm too small, would like to try and use them if i can ?

Andrew, I recall that Bob Woods in Texas did some serious fan tests, search is build log, I'll look too. K

Was a bit surprised i could not find anyone asking the same question at some point ?

I would size to your radiator Andrew. I think mine are 12"... can't remember it was so long ago since I did that part of the build

Andrew, my Tornado has two with 10" propeller diameter. The engine is a std sbf 302. I have run the engine in the past but never in anger. I bought he car with the rad and fans fitted, and I believe it is std Tornado kit. I hope this helps. Other stuff to (perhaps) consider is the water flow rate and do you have any bottlenecks in the pipework, also what about the air flow in/out the front bay. Fan/temp control. K
