Veek Bronze Supporter Join Date: Apr 2003 GT40: Florida, USA Posts: 263 Rep Power: 9	Starter Motor Shims I've just replaced my starter (again) and this time I get a moment of gear whine the moment the engine fires. I'm wondering if I need to shim the strater motor a bit as the pinion is not fully retracting. I use a starter out of the Essex V6 and none of the stateside parts houses have a shim kit that will fit. Has anyone else faced this issue?
