Nitrous for Webers?

Just thinking out loud...
When I changed over to Webers, I had lots of problems with timing, vacuum, etc. but finally sorted it out, not using the manifold vacuum for dizzy advance. tMy manifold dwas expertly plumbed by Ian of CAV Canada. I did use the brake servo vacuum tap.

So, my question is, could I use the manifold vacuum tap to feed nitrous with say a Sportsman kit?

Ping Ian...

Oops, I guess this should be in "fueling..." sub forum. Mods, please move? TY

Re: Nitrous for Webers?

Hi Ray,

I would think you'd need to fit bosses to each cylinder inlet tract (possibly hidden below turkey pan) to feed both nitrous and fuel effectively and more importantly - EVENLY..

Single point spray bars seem to work reasonably well on 4-barrell setups, but even then the manifold type becomes important else some cyls will see varying mixture levels.

What sort of power increase are you looking for?

Re: Nitrous for Webers?

Thanks Paul,

Well, another 50hp would be nice. Yes, it seems it would be quite a project to fit N0x to Webers. The more I think about it, with all the aux. systems that would be needed, a set of hot heads may be the answer.
