How many times have you seen or needed a nut or bolt and wondered about the thread size and pitch, metric or SAE? I have several cars that have both metric and SAE hardware on the same car. I also have containers of hardware that I'm not exactly sure what it is, or that I want to check before risking thread damage. The thread gauges shown below are great, and I would highly recommend them. They will give you the answer to all your thread size questions, metric and SAE, male and female. You can get them from www.BoltDepot.com. Just yesterday, I used these about six times while ordering hardware for a new build. (I have a fetish for ARP and other high-end hardware)
I wore these around my neck, like beads, to Cars & Coffee a couple of weeks ago and several people told me the next week that they went home and ordered them, and thanked me profusely.
SAE Sizes Covered:

Metric Sizes Covered:
4mm x 0.7, 5mm x 0.8, 6mm x 1.0, 8mm x 1.25, 8mm x 1.0, 10mm x 1.5, 10mm x 1.25, 10mm x 1.0, 12mm x 1.75, 12mm x 1.5, 12mm x 1.25
Just a thought!
