Dr. Kit Car Audi transaxle tech answers

In "Ask Dr. Kit Car", the Tech Q & A of Kit Car Builder, he gave a good mention to this forum and LamboLounge.com for information on the Audi 016 and 01E16 transaxles. I have looked in the archives, but I could not Substantiate some of the information in his answers....the last being "The prospect that I found most interesting was the fact that the 01E16, 6 speed transaxle apparently has 20% beefier shafts and gears, ....". Anything to it....and did I just miss it on a past thread? Thanks.
