Re: ZF input shaft size?

The -2 ZF is 1 1/16" by 10 splines
The -1 ZF is 1 1/8 " by 10 splines

Use a Ford 10.5" clutch and a 157-tooth flywheel

Bill: where did you get your bellhousing? Mine is from Kennedy and I used a 11" clutch and a 164t flywheel.

Re: ZF input shaft size?

How do I know if it is a -1 or a -2? I have the serial number it is 010224. Does that tell you anything? It is a 7 bolt bellhousing.

Red face Re: ZF input shaft size?

I'd get the friction plate and make sure it slides on the splines.I muscled my ZF around for 2 hours trying to get it on the rear of the motor.Turned out it was never going to go on, due to the friction plate splines not being right. All looked good and clutch alignment tool convinced me it was ok. I'll never get caught by that one again as I always test the friction plate goes on the input shaft before assembly of the clutch.
