Renault reverse

Hi guys,
can anyone show me the gear positions (ie 1st left and up, 2nd left & down etc) on a renault gerbox or the movement on the gearbox itself? Also does the gearbox have a reverse lock out? I am using a rod type linkage. Thanks
Murray

Re: Renault reverse

Hi Murray,
this is what I believe is correct. Have a look at my build log (Norfolk Tornado) to see how I developed a rod shift for one of these transmissions.
They do have a reverse lock-out (the tapped hole next to the number 5 on the photo) as standard, but as this will foul the rear bodywork in a GT40, most people put a lock-out on the gear lever.
Regards
Andy

Re: Renault reverse

Thanks Andy,
I have been watching your build with interest, some good work and ideas there.
By the way are No's 2 and 4 reversed in your diagram?
Cheers,
