What size bolts for Audi 016 Axles?

From memory they should be 8mm. The length of the bolts should be determined on your specific setup.

I used grade 10 socket head cap screws and painted them to prevent corrosion as I could not readily get them in zinc coated

I believe you will need M10 x 1.5, 60 mm long. Same on both the tranny and wheel sides. You might get one to make sure, since my memory may be flawed. The look like they are about 3 or 4 mm too long when installed, but you will fine that they should clear the adjacent bolts on the tranny just fine.

Hi Dean
I built a CAV40 last year using an Audi trans, I recall I needed to use longer capscrews on one side as the diff is offset to one side and a spacer
was required to install the driveshafts as an eqaully matched pair, measure up several times, buy bolts once.
