audi transaxle

So what other audi manual transaxles will work with a small block ford 289/302/351 mounted long ways in a rear engine set up. I know the audi 5000 will work and there is an adapter for this but are there any other manual audi trans that will work and there is an adapter kits for. Only about 250-300 hp.

Re: audi transaxle

Randy, good question. There's a whole bunch of information on this topic in the archives here. Do a search for "audi" in the drivetrain section and you'll find a bunch of information on the various audi-derived transaxle options other than the 5000 series 016 'box.

An 012 will probably live behind that kind of power. 016 is a better choice power wise, and 01E/01X will be the next better choice.
