ZF Stuck between gears

I backed my car out of the garage - everything seemed normal. I then let it sit for a couple of hours and then started it and went to drive it back into the garage. When I put it into first it went backward for a second so I depressed the clutch and put it in reverse at which time it acted as though it was stuck between 2 gears.

No matter what the gear selector position the car is stuck.

I seem to remember this happening to someone on this forum a while back but can't find the thread.

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, what did you do to repair it?

Pat, go into the members list and look up - Jeff - for an old post on 07/28/07, he had exactly the same problem & it was the series of posts I was thinking of- not sure that we found an easy solution, but if you PM him he might be able to help.
