Porsche 930 and G50 questions

Hi, i was wondering if someone could educate me on some porsche gbox questions:

1. I have a 930 with LSD and was wondering if the LSD will fit the G50
2. Is the input splines the same?
3. Is the bell housing mounting holes the same?
4. is a starter motor interchangeable between models?

Regards,
Mudgey

Re: Porsche 930 and G50 questions

As far as I am aware the answer to Qs 1 - 3 is yes. And Q4 It depends....Flywheels and starter motors changed through the 930 years. I think if you have a starter to go with your flywheel it should work with either trans.

Re: Porsche 930 and G50 questions

Hi,

Here we go

1) Sorry, it does not fit...
2) Exactly the same
3) Exactly the same here also.
4) If it is from a 1986+ model year it fits nicely.

Hope to help...

Jim

Re: Porsche 930 and G50 questions

The LSD from your 930 will not fit in your G50. Sorry.

As to the rest of your questions, the starter could be an issue depending on which G50 you use. There are a couple of different starters, some of which would be similar to the 930 starter some not. You would probably just need to take a look as the differences are pretty easy to spot.

If you would be in need of a G50 LSD though I am sure that we can work some sort of a trade out if you would like.

Happy to help when I can.
