Six Speed ZF Info

Be advised that the six-speed gearbox is substantially longer than the regular ZF, so fitment will likely be problematic if your car is configured for the standard one. I think the six-speed is 4-5 inches longer.

Can you provide the length measurement?

Re: ZF RBT Transaxle For Sale - Only 1100 miles use

Thanks Mike, good catch. Was just considering a 6-speed RBT ZF in my CAV...and there's no room for extra inches....

What, if any, advantages would it have over the 5-speed? It seems counter productive in some ways: shifting an extra gear, and end result would be 2 overdrive gears. What am I missing? A 6-speed costs more, and on a Superformance the frame must be modified as alluded to above. Thanks for your help, Robert

Re: Six Speed ZF Info

The RBT-6 transaxle is 55 mm or 2.165" longer than the 5DS-25/2
