ZF -2 question

Getting ready for a NYS inspection. Does the ZF -2 have a reverse switch?
I do not see one on my transaxle. Does anyone know the location and part number to install? I have the lights and wiring. I see one possible location but not sure.

Yes, there is a switch. Call Lloyd at RBT to get one.

I have a dash2 box and the reverse switch is in the shifter box on the side, there is a terminal that runs thru an insulator, when reverse is selected it goes to ground.

Here's the one on my Pantera:

It has been disconnected for years. I hooked it up last year and it worked perfectly. I then had to disconnect it when I removed the engine/gearbox. Now that it's back in, when I hooked it up again, going into reverse resulted in a dead short and a blown fuse.

Must investigate further. Original switches like the one shown are no longer available, but modern, plasticky substitutes can be had from any of the Pantera vendors.
