What shafts are those with 01E transaxles using?

Curious if everyone is going custom, specialty fabricated, or if there is an OEM part that will fit.

I am doing what Bret is dong. Making adapters that will allow me to use 930 axles

The 01E can be had with 930 style output flanges but most FWD were the 130mm tripod style.

Actually, I have made adaptors to match the CVs, which are the same as the hub flange. I've also made one adaptor wider so the shafts are the same length. I'll have to dig up what they are made of

Yes, I think that's what my builder is saying too. 130mm that is.

Do you know of any OES setup that will work for us GT40 folks for this or is it a custom job thing?

Thanks!

Re: What shafts are those with 01E transaxles using?

Darrin,
This is what I have done in my car with an 01X, adaptors: 01X and 016 Axle Question

That way I can use the same 100mm CVs either end and don't have get get expensive custom shafts made up, just a shaft... I've also equalled out the offset so I don't have to have different length shafts

If you want to see in more detail and the reason why, see Andy Hill's work on his 01X he used in his Esprit: 4.2 V8 ABZ conversion of Lotus Esprit :: motorgeek.com (you need to scroll down a bit for CV adaptor work)
