Building up UN1 for Delorean

Hey guys, I know i dont have a GT40 but I have a UN1!

I am in the process of swapping in a LS4 (5.3L v8 fwd platform) in my 82 Delorean. So beefing up the transmission is a must.

I am planning on doing a refresh (seals, roll pins, bearings) and clean it up. However, to handle the power I need to upgrade the coupler for the input shaft I am told.

So my question is: Is there a central location to get a rebuild kit or all the components for a rebuild? Or even just a list of everything I would need. Also, a delorean vendor has an upgraded coupler for the input shaft but are there any other options?

Something else I have considered is getting a taller 5th gear. The delorean trans has a 0.82 gr and I hear there is a 0.76 out there. Would anyone have this gear?

I have early in this project, but I have included a few pictures of my progress for you guys!

Thanks in advance,
Josh

We have any UN1 parts you need available including shafts and gear sets.

We have supplied parts to fit small block Ford V8 engines into DeLorens before.

We are in the process of supplying parts to a customer to fit small block chevy engines into a DeLoren.

You can email me at [email protected]

We also have a new 5th gear set available at the moment with a ratio of 0.70

Thanks

Andy

I have sent you an email regarding bearings for UN1

Also what do people normally do with the reverse lockout on the UN1
Mine is UN1-13 (21 Turbo) with 4 spider carrier fitted
I was thinking of fitting a solenoid and button on the gear lever.
Your thoughts ??

cheers
