Hi all.
Im fitting some new flywheel ring gear onto a ford essex v6 flywheel. I have a geared essex starter motor.
Im not sure which orientation i should make the ring gear. I have 2 photos attached showing the both different sides, basically you will see a stronger flat ridge on one side of the teeth. Im not sure if this should be on the lhs of the tooth (as in the first pic) or the right. The starter gear turn's anti clockwise when viewed from the behind looking forward to the pinion. Could you have a look at the photos and tell me which photo represents the correct orientation ?
Basically which side should face the stater motor ??
many thanks!
