Trans Ratio's

Hi Gents
I know there has been a lot of discussion around gear ratio's but I would like some feed back on what you think is the best final drive ratio for the street.
I'm running a Porsche G96 3.44:1 on 25" rubber. Although I haven't done many miles it just seems too low. So before I shell out for a new gear set I would appreciate you experiences

Which variant of G96 do you have, 3.44/1 R&P is tallest factory on list I found, but there are 6th gear ratios from ,75 .82, .85, .86.... Part number G96-.... is critical.
R&P is only part of the equation.

Mine is a 2005 G96 / 96 GT3. CMS said they could supply a 3.1:1 at a cost of $3950 US. I need to pull the trans out to replace 5th gear synchro's so I will check all the ratio's as I'm starting to doubt the info given to me with this trans.

According to the chart I found a G96/96 would/should have a 0.85 6th, Assuming the ratios interchange you would have 0.82 & 0.75 6th gear options. Your current 6th with 3.44/1 R&P will give 2.92/1 while 0.82 is 2.82/1 and 0.75 is 2.58/1. 25" OD seems a bit on the small side for a GT40 in the 'looks' dept to me. gboxweb.com/gt2specs.html

yes your right, gear ratios you mentioned are the same as the chart I was given with the trans ( attached ) however the chart says at 3000rpm I should be going 78 mph but its just on 60 mph.
So I could change 6th gear but all the gears need to come up so yes a tire size increase is in the plan as they are getting old and hard now. But I don't like my chances of dropping 600 - 800 rpm with a tire change.
I'm not unhappy with the "look" or stance what do you think.
