If you visit an Auto Windscreens Truck and Bus division they will have the correct markings and equipment to etch your screen. It might take some lubrication and gentle persuation but, my local guy has helped me out on this before now.

Interesting point you raised. My other thought was to approach the manufacturer of my screen (RAC Windscreens) and ask them to provide a letter stating that the screen met the new requirements
