Quality Ignition Switch??

Looking for a high quality universal ignition switch. Prefer something with a double sided key and a spec on the amperage rating. Everything that shows up on Google seems cheap.

Thought the Lucas piece would be good because of the double sided key but it's not.

Re: Quality Ignition Switch??

You might try Cole Hersee. I sourced a two sided key unit, 5 Amp capacity sealed unit from West Marine. ~$30.

Re: Quality Ignition Switch??

A word of warning to you. If you have one of the GTD type wiring harnesses, check out how the power is routed. They seem to route all of the power thru the ignition switch then to the relays etc. My first car was set up that way and the key would actually get hot to the touch. We then changed it, running power to the relays directly and only the control circuits went thru the ignition switch.
