351 C Alu Motorsport 4v heads, anyone?

Hi all!
Does anyone have a pair of aluminium 4V "Motorsport" heads for the Ford 351 Cleveland for sale? Or does anyone know where I can get a pair?

Original Ford Motorsport heads are difficult to find, and expensive. They were made in several different variations. However, there are now plenty of aftermarket aluminum 351C heads on the market.

There are at least two new-ish manufacturers of Aluminum Cleveland heads, both from Australia. These come in 2V, 3V and 4V port sizes.

(the "3V" heads are heads whose ports, like Goldilocks, are 'just right', not too small like the 2V or too large like the 4V).

John Kaase is producing a Ford small block canted valve head:

Edelbrock has a Cleveland 2V head available:

Brodix makes an Aluminum head primarily for racing, that is a replacement for the Ford Racing C302b. It requires an expensive valvetrain however.

Ford racing made several good aluminum heads, especially the C302b. Edelbrock still supplies an intake manifold for the C302b and other non-Yates Ford heads. C302b’s are available on eBay from time to time.

Once you get your Aluminum Cleveland head, it is not at all straightforward to match intake and exhaust manifolds.

The place to learn more about all things Cleveland is on the 335 Engine series forum. Do a search under “Aluminum heads” and you’ll learn plenty.

By the way, a private guy named Todd Buttermore has decided to pay the not-inconsiderable up-front costs to have aluminum 351C blocks cast. This project has been ongoing for several years, but the first one has just been delivered to an engine builder to be assembled, as a beta-tester. Links to information on the Buttermore blocks (he is also casting brand new iron 351C blocks) can be found via a direct link on the 335 forum above.

The ultimate guru of this complicated topic is Pantera owner Dan Jones. Put "Cleveland" or "351C" plus “Dan Jones” in Google and almost everything that comes up will be quite useful. He's an engineer for Boeing by day, and a 351C fanatic by night. What he has forgotten about the 351C isn't worth knowing!
