I believe its a 1000km race which will also double as a qualifier for the 24h prochain anee. I have also heard it's on the weekend of 8/9th but I'm waiting for Audi to come back to me, although they are not running the R8 as Joest there is possibly Audi customers who they seem keen to support and I've been put on a sort of standby and should know next week. Also Joest are talking to the ACO to talk them into something along those lines as well. In any event I will be going but wether I'll be working or not is to be decided. Personally I'd like not to work as it's been a long season for me and I'd would actually like to watch a race properly and down a few at the same time !!

Fred,
You are right - its not a classic race - yet, but there will be more of these 1000kms next year. Whatever happens, I'll drop my wife in Paris and let her do the blonde things then pick her up the next day on the way back, or fly to CDG and go to Le Mans from Montparnasse on the TGV.
The trouble with flying over is that I would like to pick up some wine and champagne and the car is much more useful.
